Among the many RC competitions,
the talent show is the most highly
regarded, especially because parents,
family and community members come
to watch. Acts usually consist of danc-
ing, acting, singing and/or music edit-
ing; most involve the entire chapter.
"Talent show was amazing!" said
Elizabeth Kirsch, president of Emunah
BBG. "We loved performing and
watching each other's performances.
The amount of support our Jewish
community gives the youth is awe-
some and very inspiring."
Not only was the show enjoyable for
BBYO members to watch, but it also
engaged adults.
"I really enjoyed seeing the vari-
ety of chapter performances:' said
Sharon Shapiro of Farmington Hills,
whose children are in Kishon AZA and
Achayot BBG. "I'm very proud that
my two kids are both so involved in
BBYO."
The winners of this year's Talent
Show, held at Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield, are Emunah BBG, first
place; Achayot BBG, second; Kulanu
BBG, third; Evan Shapiro AZA, first;
Kishon AZA, second; and Tzavah AZA,
third.
Aside from the competitions, RC
is still the prime moment to become
involved in a chapter and strengthen
or create friendships that will last a
lifetime.
"It is something that you will never
forget, and you make friends and
memories that last forever;' said Austin
Goodman of Kishon AZA.
"It felt like I was a part of some-
thing, especially when we started
cheering — it was so cool!" said Molly
Weiss of Kulanu BBG.
