elanee Statfield and Justin
Johnson were recently married
at Castle Farms in Charlevoix.
Rabbi Michael Schadick of Grand Rapids
officiated.
Melanee is the daughter of Leslee and Terry
Statfield of West Bloomfield. Justin is the son
of Sharie and Paul Johnson of Ypsilanti.
The couple were delighted to be surround-
ed by many family and friends. Melanee was
honored to have her sisters, Ashley Statfield
and Stefanee Statfield, as bridesmaids. Justin
was honored to have his brothers, Jordan
Johnson and Jensen Johnson, as groomsmen.
Also celebrating with Melanee and Justin
were their grandparents Ione Johnson, Richard McNamara, Marilyn Freedland
and Murray Statfield.
Melanee graduated from Oakland University with a bachelor's degree in soci-
ology. She recently completed a paralegal program and is employed as a parale-
gal at TRW Automotive.
Justin is a graduate of Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in Southfield, cer-
tified in the field of video production, and is an electrician with IBEW Local 58.
The couple reside in Livonia.

Mayer 50th

velyn and Edward Mayer of Tucson,
Ariz., formerly of Southfield, were
married Sept. 27, 1959. They recent-
ly celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary
at a luncheon for family and friends given
by their children, Lori (David) Remer and
Jeffrey (Mary) Mayer. The Mayers have five
grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
Further celebration with their children and
grandchildren will be on a cruise next sum-
mer.
