Authors Tracey Fine (left) and Georgie
Tarn are known in Britain as the new
ambassadors of kosher cooking for
their efforts in bringing kosher products
and ideas to the mainstream.

and Tarn, who bring their passion to
the table. Brimming with their usual
lively and entertaining banter, tips
on being a Jewish Princess ("always
remember to be PPP: positive, pro-
ductive, and, of course, princess-like")
and observations on life, the book is
also quite practical.
Arranged by festivals (Purim,
Passover, Sukkot — when "the
Jewish princess goes camping"— and
Chanukah, among them), celebrations
(the bris brunch, the bar mitzvah and
the wedding) and feasts (a collection
of canapes, a chicken dinner party, a
fish dinner party), Feasts & Festivals
offers more than 120 kosher recipes,
including both classics and entic-

ing twists. Among them: Bubbeles
(Passover Pancakes), Lamb Tagine,
Champagne Salmon, Cinnamon
Baubles and more. It also includes a
brief, very readable history of each
holiday and celebration, sprinkled
with personal reminiscences and
observations.
"Like all Princesses, we love mak-
ing a shidduch (a successful introduc-
tion)," write Fine and Tarn. "Do we
have some recipes for you!" Here, the
Princesses share a few of their selec-
tions to make your Chanukah party
a hit. As they write, "Your mother
will kvell when she sits down to your
feast!"

mixture.
Fry the latkes in the oil until gold-
en brown on both sides.
Makes approximately 40 latkes.
