Susie Rachel Bittker and Jason
Michael Bittker, together with their
parents, Ellie and Allan Bittker, will
celebrate their b'nai mitzvah at Temple
Israel in West Bloomfield Saturday,
Nov. 28. They are the sister and brother
of Elana and the late Matthew Bittker.
Sharing the joy of this simchah will be
their proud grandfather Phil Bittker.
They are also the grandchildren of the
late Rosalind and Jack Silverman and
the late Susan and Gerald Saltzberg.
Susie and Jason are students at
Berkshire Middle School in Beverly
Hills. Among the many mitzvah proj-
ects they performed, raising funds and
awareness for pediatric cancer for the
Matthew Bittker Foundation was the
most meaningful to them.

Weston Benedict

will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitz-
vah on Saturday, Nov.
28, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue in
Farmington
Hills. He is
Blum
the son of Tracye and
Robert Blum and the brother of Natalie,
Madeleine and Weston. Thrilled grand-
parents are Joyce and George Blum, Geri
and Mike Green, and Marilyn and Glenn
Valasco. Proud great-grandparents are
Marion and Bill Vincent.
Weston is a student at Birmingham
Covington School. His mitzvah projects
included volunteering at Yad Ezra in
Berkley.

mitzvah project has been her work as
a volunteer at Hospitality House, the
Walled Lake food pantry.

He is also the grandchild of the late
Marvin Marcus.
Elie is an eighth-grade student
at Akiva Hebrew Day School in
Southfield. His most meaningful
mitzvah project was visiting with
older adults in nursing homes.
