If you really want to get your butt
kicked, try this program of exercises
approved by Oprah's fitness guru
Bob Greene. My wife is trying the
program's 30-Day Challenge. She
chose the medium setting because
she has worked with a personal
trainer before, but she was sweating
and winded at the end of her first 30-
minute session. She also had trouble
walking the next day from all the
lunges and squats, as the workout is
demanding and consistently active.
Short videos explain movements
beforehand and instructions flash on
the screen if you're not in good form.
Personal Trainer comes with a band
you wrap around your thigh to house
a nunchuk controller that helps sense
proper form and a resistance band
that has perhaps a little too much
give. Some activities also can be done
on the Wii balance board.
A proud "lefty," my wife was both-
ered that there were no specific hand
preference settings for the sports
actions.
Personal Trainer is heavy on the
cardio, with no stretching exercises,
yoga or full-body strengthening exer-
cises. The newly released EA's More
Workouts takes care of most of those
concerns. But Personal Trainer offers
plenty to keep you motivated — and
you also have the option of working
out with a friend.
The program offers a journal with
lifestyle and nutritional tips, trophies
to keep you motivated and the abil-
ity to design your own workout. Cost
for the DVD, which comes with the
leg band and resistance band, is $60,
though it can be found for less.

Blood and guts, lots of weapons and
bad guys in post-apocalyptic Central
Asia. If this appeals to you, you'll
