Cries For Help Go Unheeded
Ramle, Israel/Jerusalem Post — Ramle
Mayor Yoel Lavi is disgusted at the fail-
ure of several bystanders to aid a man
who was viciously assaulted by a dozen
gang members in a local park.
The Nov. 9 attack began when a cou-
ple crossed the path of a sizable gang of
Arab Israelis who were drinking hard.
Rude comments about the woman were
made, and the boyfriend asked the
men to cease. One then poured vodka
on him and the gang members began
brutally beating him.
Cries for help from the girlfriend
went unheeded by several people exer-
cising nearby. Since then, police used
security camera footage to arrest eight
suspects.
