The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for
providing overall leadership and guidance for the Jewish
community of Northwest Ohio. The position reports to
the Board of the United Jewish Council (UJC).
The CEO has oversight and responsibility for planning,
development, implementation, coordination and
evaluation of all UJC initiatives and operations.

The CEO is responsible for monitoring all agency
budgets, monthly and annual financial statements and
audits. The CEO has oversight responsibilities for the
annual campaign, Toledo Jewish Community Foundation,
Toledo Board of Jewish Education, Jewish
Family Services, Toledo Jewish News, Jewish
Community Relations Council and the Department of
Jewish Programs (formerly the JCC). The CEO
supervises all agency senior professionals, and is the
liaison between the UJC and all agency boards.
The CEO overseas agency marketing and campaign
activities, and coordinates intra-agency programs and
services.

Judaic Studies

accepting applications for the position of Administrative
Assistant. Bachelor's degree required. Hebrew spoken
and reading skills and experience working for an
academic or non-profit organization are a plus. Among
the qualifications/duties required are a strong knowledge
of and familiarity with the structure and organization
of the Detroit Jewish community; computer literacy
including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office; the
ability to design advertising copy and publicity material;
supervision of a student assistant; the preparation and
management of an operating budget; and excellent
written and oral communication skills. The position,
which is 4/5 time (Monday - Thursday), may also include
occasional evenings and Sundays. Salary commensurate
with experience. This position includes full benefits.
The Cohn-Haddow Center intends to fill this position by
January 2010.
