Novi are delighted to announce
the engagement of their daughter Jill Sane
Baskin to Jorge Orlando Castro, son of
Elizabeth and Abimael Castro of Killeen,
Texas.
Jill is in the process of completing a Psy.
D. in clinical psychology at the Michigan
School of Professional Psychology in
Farmington Hills and is employed as a psy-
chotherapist and college instructor.
Jorge received his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in East
Lansing and works on the Community Team for Canonical Ltd., sponsors of the
Ubuntu project.
A May 2010 wedding is planned.

Bloomfield celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary 50 years to
the day that they were married on Sunday,
Nov. 8, 1959, at Adat Shalom Synagogue.
They celebrated at a family dinner given by
their children, Karen and Randall Jacobs,
Ari and Pamela Freed, Lisbeth and Mark
Bulmash and Leslye Jacobs. In attendance
were their grandchildren, Ashlee Jacobs,
Matthew Jacobs, Evan Freed, Derek Freed,
Brooke Bulmash and Grant Bulmash.

Aventura, Fla., celebrated their
60th wedding anniversary at a recent
brunch at Knollwood Country Club in West
Bloomfield with dear family and friends.
Their children and grandchildren are Cathy,
James, Andrew and Cara Deutchman; Jay,
Susan, Stuart and Rachel Brody; Gerald,
Lisa, Hillary, Joshua and Jacob Brody. They
were also very fortunate to have present six
attendants as well as others who attended
their Nov. 6, 1949, wedding.
