East Lansing — Michigan State University students attended the fifth annual Israel Fest at the MSU Union Ballroom on Nov. 9. It was a two-hour celebration of the wide diversity and cul- ture found within Israel, as well as show- casing Israel's scientific community. The event was sponsored by Associated Students of Michigan State Featured speakers: -sa Dr. Guy Stern, Ph.D. Guy Stern, Ph.D., Director of the International Institute of the Righteous, Holocaust 1\ lemorial Center Zekelman Family Campus University and the Jewish Student Union. Students enjoyed free giveaways, Middle Eastern food and a raffle. Subcultures featured at Israel Fest included Ethiopian-Israelis, Bedouins and Israeli Arabs, LGBT Israelis, Indian Jews, North African Jews, Persian Jews and the haredim (ultra- religious).
