When you
don't know
your bank's
new name,
do you think
they know yours?

Our Mission
Our mission is to develop
and maintain banking
relationships with
customers who truly
value exceptional service.

We believe that there's a need for a real
community bank in Oakland County – a bank
where the directors, shareholders, and employees
all live in the same area as our customers.
We've created a bank where customers can
come in at any time and talk face to face
with the people who make decisions, not get
forwarded to bureaucratic loan committees in
remote locations.

'Barely Team Alex

Make-A-Wish kids benefit from a
unique fundraising calendar.

Shelli Liebman Dorfman
Senior Writer

ollowing in the (bare)
footsteps of their 2007
sell-out fundraising
calendar, Team Alex cyclists have
created a sequel. Once again they
have proven they will do just
about anything to raise funds for
the Make-A-Wish Foundation of
Michigan in their quest to fulfill
the dreams of children with life-
threatening illnesses. And that
includes being photographed for
the Barely Team Alex 2010 calen-
dar, which the bike riders refer to
as "a year-round, family-friendly
view of cycling in the nude'
"While it may sound a little over
the top, the models are appropriately
covered by strategically placed props','
said team captain Beth Brandvain of
Farmington Hills. "In the age of 'nude
calendar proliferation, the planning,
execution and artistry set this calendar
apart from all others:'
Each of the 12 calendar photos was
taken during the same month in which
it appears. Models posed on or near
their bikes in every season in scenes
from winter's snow to summery gar-
dens. Sylvan Lake photographer Month
Must of Naturally Photography by
Month, who donated her time, talent
and resources, took calendar pictures.
"If you are wondering why a group
of respectable, community-minded
cyclists have bared it all once again, the
answer is simple,' Brandvain said."It's
a tribute to Team Alex's namesake, Alex
Graham, who died of bone cancer in
1999 at age 17:'
Alex's wish, granted by Make-A-Wish,
was to create a public service announce-
ment urging anyone who saw a kid with
cancer or someone who looks different
to "try a smile; we could use it."

At her funeral, Alex's dad, Bill of
West Bloomfield, asked for others to
do a good deed in her name. Friends
of the Graham family took that mes-
sage to heart and that summer formed
Team Alex to participate in the 300-
mile Wish-A-Mile ride for the Make-
A-Wish Foundation of Michigan. At
this past July's event, the 66-rider
team — which includes Bill Graham
— raised more than $214,000. They
were the No. 1 fundraising team in
an event whose 700 riders raised just
shy of $1,600,000. Team Alex's 11-year
total reached more than $1 million,
enough to grant 125 wishes.
But there is a lot of time between the
annual rides, so the team creates addi-
tional fundraisers, like the calendar,
which is innovative, artistically creative
and quite functional, featuring plenty
of space for appointments, birthdates
and daily planning. And, said Team
Alex member Warren Robinson of
Franklin, "Even if you don't need a
calendar — "it's a great conversation
piece' II
