Women's Night Out
Jewish song will be celebrated and
performed at the eighth annual
Tri-Synagogue Women's Night Out
on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Jewish
Community Center in Oak Park.
The theme, "Women Coming
Together Through Song:' will show-
case the musical talents of women
from Congregation Beth Shalom,
Congregation T'chiyah, Temple
Emanu-El and Young Israel of Oak
Park — the four hosts of the evening.
The annual event aims to solidify
social ties and recognize common
concerns of Jewish women in the area.
The event will benefit an organiza-
tion that assists women. Guests are
asked to bring gently used or new
children's books that will be donated
as Chanukah gifts to NCJW Safe
Place, a temporary shelter for Jewish
victims of domestic abuse.
A kosher vegetarian dinner will
be served. The event begins at 6:30
p.m. Tickets are $18 per person by
Nov. 11 or $25 at the door. Checks
may be made payable to the Jewish
Community Center and sent to
