on Saturday, Nov. 7,
as she reads from
the Torah in honor

of her bat mitzvah.
She is the daughter
of Sheryll and Jimmy Kollin and the
sister of Max. Her grandparents are
Sharyanne and Dr. Arnold Kollin and
Verna and Charles Shields.
Sophie attends O.E. Dunckel Middle
School in Farmington Hills. She set
up a charity called Sophie's Goal and
requested her bat mitzvah guests to
donate to support the Charach Cancer
Center or Sisters Hope Breast Cancer
Retreat Program in lieu of gifts.

Sharing in this special celebration will
be Madison's two sisters, Karlee and
Taylor, as well as both sets of grand-
parents, Sam and Magda Novice and
Arthur and Libby Udaskin.
Madison is a seventh-grade stu-
dent at Detroit Country Day School
in Beverly Hills. Her favorite mitzvah
project was participating in a reading
program with underprivileged students
at Alcott Elementary School in Pontiac.

Elizabeth is the granddaughter of
Jerome and Marilyn Salesin and Sy
and Penny Nagel.
Elizabeth is a student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. She enjoyed work-
ing with the residents of Farmington
Hills-based JARC as part of her volun-
teering experiences.

Sam is an eighth-grader at
Cranbrook Boys Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills. His most meaning-
ful mitzvah project was organizing
a walk in the neighborhood to raise
money for juvenile diabetes.

mitzvah on April
25. He is the son of

Steve Nasatir and
the brother of Lonnie, Scott, Randy
and Eli. Sharing in the simchah were
his proud grandmothers Lillian
Rosenberg Marrich of West Bloomfield
and Alyce Nasatir. He is also the
grandson of the late Irving Rosenberg
and the late Bernard Nasatir.
Brandon attends Edgewood Middle
School in Highland Park, Ill. One of his
mitzvah projects was volunteering at
the Uptown Cafe in Chicago, helping
serve meals to the needy.

Brian attends West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. He has
done many community service proj-
ects through Boy Scouts but felt help-
ing to build a shed at a special needs
children's camp, called the Fowler
Center, was the most meaningful.
