Head Dress

Whenever Jovan Kassab wore one of the intricately adorned headbands she made

for herself, she would be accosted by friends and strangers alike. So the West

Bloomfield fashion writer went into business, beginning Jovan Jane in March with her

head-turning headbands (like the two-tone rhinestone and beaded applique

headband, $65, shown), then expanding to hats, necklaces and bracelets. Her work

has garnered the attention of People magazine, InStyle, E! Entertainment's That
Morning Show and won the Tyra Show's Best of Beauty. Look for Kassab's designs
