BOOMI SILVERMAN, 75, of Marietta,
Ga., died Oct. 22, 2009.
She is survived by her sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Mark and Sherri Waxman of
S. Euclid, Ohio, Adam and Jill Waxman
of Marietta; brother, Rabbi David
Silverman; grandchildren, Sean, Kelley,
Emily, Alex, Justin and Megan Waxman,
Courtney and Jamie Mazalewski; devoted
cousin, Allan (Mary) Silverman, Sol
(Katherine) Sylvan.
Mrs. Silverman was the dear daugh-
ter of the late Meyer and the late Anne
Silverman; sister of the late Sidney
Silverman; sister-in-law of the late
Lorriane Silverman.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery in
Ferndale. Contributions may be made to
the Holocaust Memorial Center or to a
charity of one's choice. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.

EVELYN SKUPSKY, 88, of Rochester,
N.Y., formerly of Detroit, died Oct. 20,
2009.
She was the past department presi-

dent of the Jewish War Veterans Ladies
Auxiliary of Michigan.
Mrs. Skupsky is survived by her sons
and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Pnina
Skupsky of Rochester, N.Y., Donald and
Lorraine Skupsky; brothers and sis-
ters-in-law, Sol and Florence Leider of
West Bloomfield, Hal and Elissa Leider
of Walled Lake; grandchildren, Ron
Skupsky, Judy and Michael Cohen, Yoni
and Hadas Skupsky, Irene Skupsky, Ben
Skupsky, Katherine Skupsky; great-
grandson, Samuel Cohen.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Sam Skupsky.
Contributions may be made to a char-
ity of one's choice. Interment at Hebrew
Memorial Park. Arrangements by Hebrew
Memorial Chapel.

ALLEN SMALTZ, 84, of Southfield, died
Oct. 19, 2009.
He was a estimator for Quality Floor
Covering. He was also a member of
Temple Israel and an avid golfer.
Mr. Smaltz is survived by his wife,

Sylvia Smaltz; sons and daughter-in-law,
Greg and Kathie Smaltz of Southfield, Jeff
Smaltz of Linden; sister, Flora Schwartz
Kaufman; nieces, nephews and friends.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.

DEVORAH STIEBEL, 57, of Bloomfield
Hills, died Oct. 22, 2009.
She is survived by her husband, Alex
Stiebel; son, David Stiebel of Bloomfield
Hills; daughter and son-in-law, Keren
and Yosef Klein of Chicago, Ill.; brother
and sister-in-law, Avrohom and Shoshana
Guetta of Haifa, Israel; sister, Sarah Dayan
of Israel; grandson, Eliyahu Shmuel Klein;
many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stiebel was the loving sister-in-
law of the late Yaakov Dayan.

WALTER ZEIGER, 56, of Farmington
Hills, died Oct. 19, 2009.
He is survived by his sisters and
brothers-in-law, Maggie Feldman of
Lakeworth, Fla., Carol and Mickey
Heideman of Prospect, Ky., Nancy
Fraiberg of Farmington Hills; brother,
Stuart Zeiger of Pennlyn, Pa.; many lov-
ing nieces, nephews, other family mem-
bers and friends.
Mr. Zeiger was the dear son of the late
Maurice and the late Annette "Honey"
Zeiger.
Interment at the Adat Shalom
Memorial Park Cemetery in Livonia.
