he parents of Elisheva Shapiro and
Aaron Samuel Newman announce
with great joy the engagement of
their children.
Elisheva, a Hillel graduate, received her
undergraduate degree from the University
of Michigan and is in her second year of
medical school at Michigan State University
in East Lansing. Her parents are Sharona
Shapiro and David Aaron Lerner of West
Bloomfield.
Aaron, a University of Michigan School
of Education major, is in his second year at
Yeshiva Machon Yaakov, Israel. His parents
are Judith and Robert Newman of West
Bloomfield.
A summer 2010 wedding is planned.

vices South Florida.
Corey is the chair for the Performing Arts
Department at Hillel Community Day School
in Aventura, Fla.
The couple plan to reside in South Florida.
The wedding will take place in March 2010.

Bloomfield are delighted to

daughter Erica Nicole Folkoff to Michael
Henry Cahn, son of Susan and Fred Calm of
Southfield.
Erica earned her bachelor of science
degree in textiles and apparel from Eastern
Michigan University in Ypsilanti and is
working in retail.
Michael earned his bachelor of science
degree in journalism from Michigan State
University in East Lansing and is in sales.
An April wedding is planned.
