to announce the engagement
of their daughter Dr. Elizabeth Michaels to
Anthony Schatz, son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Schatz of Northbrook, Ill.
Elizabeth is a practicing pediatrician in
the Chicago area and Anthony is a director
of the College of American Pathologists.
The couple will be married in December
at the Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn. Afterward,
the two plan on honeymooning in New
Zealand.

Lauren Rachel to Robert Eric Midelton, son
of David and Diane Midelton of Ventnor, N.J.
Lauren received her bachelor's degree in
psychology from the University of Michigan
and her master's degree in elementary edu-
cation from Loyola University in Chicago.
She teaches first grade in the Chicago sub-
urbs.
Rob earned a bachelor's degree in
business administration from George
Washington University in Washington, D.C.,
and his MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a management consultant in
Chicago.
A November 2009 wedding is planned at the MGM Grand Hotel in Detroit.

my Bershad and Brad McMahon
were married recently at
Knollwood Country Club in West
Bloomfield. Rabbi Harold Loss of Temple
Israel in West Bloomfield officiated.
Amy is the daughter of Barbara and
Stan Bershad of West Bloomfield. Brad is
the son of Elaine and Daniel McMahon of
Birmingham.
Bridesmaids included Suzanne Bershad,
Tara Bershad, Meredith McMahon and
Laura McMahon. Groomsmen included Paul
McMahon, Eric Bershad, Jeff Bershad, David
Pryor and Tommy Parker.
After a honeymoon in San Francisco and Napa Valley, the couple reside in
Farmington Hills.
