Dr. Rosen was a track star at Mount Clemens High School and the University of Michigan. In 1993, he started for the U.S. men's age 35-and-over basketball team at the Maccabiah Games in Israel. He also was on the team in 2001. Dr. Rosen practiced radiology from 1978-2006. Emanuel Steward, Kronk Gym founder and trainer of 31 world champions, will receive the Alvin Foon Humanitarian Award at the dinner. The award is named for MJSF founder and first president Alvin Foon. Four high school athletes also will be hon- ored at the dinner. Eric Fishman of Cranbrook- Kingswood and Eric Glanz of Emanuel Walled Lake Central are the Steward Jewish News Male Athletes of the Year; Abigail Cohen of Cranbrook-Kingswood is the Jewish News Female Athlete of the Year. Michelle Lapin of Berkley will receive the Bill Hertz Memorial Scholarship Award.
