to people from out of town trying to
raise money for charities.
"I was taken that Rabbi Arm
would devote an entire day to escort
a visitor around the community,"
Rabbi Yoskowitz said. "He loved
mitzvot and tried to inspire others
to do them."
Family Life
Rabbi Arm had a close-knit fam-
ily. "They adored him;' said Rabbi
Yoskowitz. For the benefit of his
children and grandchildren, Rabbi
Arm "set high standards for our
character and our observance,' said
daughter Ilana. "With little fanfare,
he kept the laws of Jewish life,
which were never a burden."
The three Arm children gained
strong Jewish identities through
both parents. Daniel became an
ordained rabbi, Ilana married a
rabbi and David assisted his retired
father at the overflow second ser-
vice at Beth Achim for about five
years in early '90s.
When he was younger and
healthier, Rabbi Arm liked to play
tennis and roughhouse with the
children as "Milton the Monster?'
He was devoted to Claire, and they
traveled the globe, including at least
two dozen times to Israel. But the
rabbi was mostly interested in being
a good Jew. David said his father
was "indistinguishable from his
Jewish identity."
Rabbi Yoskowitz noted, "Rabbi
Arm loved learning and was a
model for others to emulate.
"He gave of himself fully to what
he believed. He left this world with
a good name."

They were
wonderful'.'
We hear kind words consistently. We're proud that
people feel comfortable enough with us to openly tell
us how much they appreciate what we did for them.
In fact, it's this appreciation that drives us to offer the
very best in comfort, compassion and service.
