Pizza For All!

Kol Ami families help Meer residents enjoy party.

E

very so often, when Meer Apartments residents hold a pizza party, they ask
members of Temple Kol Ami's social action committee members to come help
and join in the fun at their home in West Bloomfield.
So early in September, families from the West Bloomfield synagogue joined the
seniors for some pizza from Jerusalem Pizza. The families got the dining rooms set up,

then helped serve the pies. The food was good, but the visiting between the generations
was great.
"It's always a wonderful experience getting our kids together with the seniors;' said
Paul Gross of Kol Ami. "The seniors absolutely crave the visit and our kids obviously get
that good ol' tikkun olam [repair of the world] feeling." II
