'Guarantees provided by life insurance products are subject to the claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance company.
Annuity arbitrage involves the purchase of both an annuity and life insurance policy and all standard issues and risks would apply. The differences in methods of pricing products between the different insurance
carriers may not be sufficient for the strategy to be effective. If an annuitant lives beyond his/her life expectancy, payments will continue at the same dollar value but they become taxable entirely as ordinary income.
Any policy withdrawals, loans, and interest will reduce policy values and may reduce benefits or cause the policy to lapse.
