David and Amy Ingber of Commerce, Rabbi Jennifer and Ryan Kaluzny of West Craig Eidelman of Berkley, Nina Rosenblum of West Bloomfield, Kari Schlaff of Bloomfield and Tracie and Adam Fienman of Bloomfield Hills Farmington Hills and Michael Chosid of West Bloomfield C ryptic messages printed on cards provided the only sense of direction for about 60 young adults. They broke into teams and piled into more than a dozen cars for an Aug. 22 road rally sponsored by the Imagine group of Temple Israel in West Bloomfield. Each group had to decipher 16 clues, visit 16 dif- ferent locations and pick up an item, like a take out menu, a cock- tail napkin or a receipt, to prove they visited each site. "I liked seeing all of the groups come back with their different responses," said David Ingber of Commerce Township. He co-chaired the road rally and helped write the clues with his wife, Amy, and the other co-chairs, Jen and Ryan Schneider, also of Commerce Township, and Carrie and Dan Rudman of West Bloomfield. Sidra Lewis of West Bloomfield "The clues took people around the Novi, Commerce Township, West Bloomfield, Farmington Hills area," David explained. "The answers led them to places like Stroh's Ice Cream, Bally's Total Fitness and a Greek restaurant of their choice?' Everyone had to make it to the ending point, the VIP Lounge at Lucky Strike in Novi, by 9 p.m. sharp. The top three winning teams received prize; then participants mingled, enjoying drinks, food, pool and bowling. "We wanted it to be challenging, but also a lot of fun," said Amy Ingber. "It was funny to see how some of the teams misinterpreted our clues. In the end, everyone had a great time." Spotted on the road were: Shayna and Josh Levine, Jill and Steve Ingber, all of Huntington Woods; Craig Eidelman of Berkley; Stephanie and Seth Roseman, Sarah and Todd Wolfe, all of Farmington Hills; and Nina Rosenblum of West Bloomfield. 0 Jeremy Lewis of West Bloomfield, Stephanie Roseman of Farmington Hills Julie Sidder and Marla Kaminsky, both Rachel Franzese of Northville and Lisa of West Bloomfield, and Julie Kamen of Edelstein of Commerce and David Harskovic of Berkley Novi September 10 3 2009 19
