Shabbat In The D

Rabbi Dorit Edut and special guest
Cantor Liat Pelman, a Carlebach-style
cantor from Staten Island, N.Y., will
be at the Downtown Synagogue in
Detroit to provide a Kabbalat Shabbat
service Aug. 21 at 7 p.m.
This services will be followed by
a kosher dinner and a discussion
relating to modern issues as seen in
parshat Shoftim.
