nated and fascinat-
ing, Mr. Kahn will be dearly missed.
The quintessential entrepreneur, his
enterprises outnumbered his years.
He was the author of "Say What You
See," which appeared in the Detroit
News for over 35 years, six days a week.
Other hats he happily wore throughout
his lifetime included marketer, adver-
tiser, inventor, actor, journalist, pilot,
songwriter, skier, photographer, chess
player, clarinetist (since age 70), magi-
cian and hypnotist. He served honor-
ably in Korea.
He loved to work, to think, to travel,
to learn. He loved to ask questions.
He loved to hear people's stories and
to tell his own. Mr. Kahn cultivated
his mind as a member of MENSA,
a student of Synanon and of Silva
Mind Control. He was a humanistic
Jew and a true mentsh. He was also
a proud lifelong donor to the Jewish
Federation.
Mr. Kahn was the beloved husband
of Marcia Grossman Kahn; son of the
late Edward and the late Ann Kahn;
proud and supportive father of Daniel,
Robert, Debbie, Laurie and Amy;
survived by dear sister and brother-
in-law, Beatrice and Seymour Rowe;
beloved grandson, Matthew (Kahn)
Schabel; nieces and nephews, Dr.
Marla Rowe Gorosh (Neil), Dr. Debra
Rowe Bartleman (Dennis), Steven
Rowe (Lynn), David and Cortney
Goldberg, Melissa and Charles Ryburn;
sister-in-law, Sheila (the late Mickey)

KOLLIN, 85, of

July 31, 2009.
She was born Oct.
10,1923, in Boyne
City, Mich. Mrs.
Kollin was a gradu-

of Michigan and lived 60 years in
Michigan, 20 years in Boca Raton, Fla.,
and the last six years in Wooster. She
was an avid golfer and card player,
especially duplicate bridge, as well as
an avid skier back in the day and an
all around tomboy. She was a wonder-
ful mother, wife, grandmother and
friend to all who knew her.
Mrs. Kollin is survived by her
children, Beth (Roger) Mulder of
Dexter, Mich.; Dennis (Linda) Kollin
of Oxford, Mich.; Adam (Lucy) Kollin
of Troy, Ruth (Leonard) Kaplan of
Wooster; 11 grandchildren.
She was the loving wife for 45 years
of the late Arthur Kollin; sister of the
late Seymour and the late Godfrey
Heller.
A memorial service will be held at 2
p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at Congregation
Shir Tikvah, 3900 Northfield Parkway,
Troy. Contributions may be made to
the Alzheimer's Association, American
