He was a lifelong resident of the Detroit area and had many friends here. He was a graduate of Albion College, with a degree in commu- nication and theater and he later earned a master's degree in speech pathology and audiology. For the past 20 years, he was a Cadillac salesman in Rochester. HAROLD GOLDMAN, 79, of West Bloomfield, died July 2, 2009. He was a funeral director at the Ira Kaufman Chapel from 1967 to his Goldman retirement in 1992. Prior to working at the Kaufman Chapel, he was a sporting goods manager at GEM Stores. Mr. Goldman was a proud vet- eran who served in the United States Marine Corps. He was also a member of the Eddie Jacobson Brotherhood of B'nai B'rith and was a docent at the Holocaust Memorial Center in Farmington Hills. He was known for his quick wit and humor that brought many a light hearted moment to his fam- ily and friends. A big man with soft hands, Mr. Goldman made dollhouse furniture, miniature violins and musical instruments and miniature soldiers from various wars. The detailing on his miniature pieces made each piece unique and memo- rable. Mr. Goldman is survived by his wife, Marlene Goldman; son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Karen Goldman of South Dakota; daugh- ter and son-in-law, Elise "Lee" and James Hunrath of Port Hope, Mich.; sister, Betty Rotklein of Dallas; grandchildren, James and Theresa Hunrath III, Jason and Jessica
