CELIA I. BAKST, 77, of Boca Raton,
Fla., formerly of West Bloomfield,
died July 1, 2009.
She is survived by her loving chil-
dren, Mickey (Ellen) Bakst, Richard
Bakst, Susan (Brad) Mattison; dear
sister-in-law, Delores Friedman;
cherished grandchildren, Brian, Eric,
Jared, Lauren and Gabriel.
Mrs. Bakst was the beloved wife of
the late Myron J. Bakst.
Services were held in Florida.

ALLEN BARG, 81, of Oak Park, died
June 28, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Estelle
Barg; daughter and son-in-law,
Diane and Steven Budaj of West

law, David and Elaine Zaks Barg of
Farmington Hills, Daniel and Esther
Barg of Israel; grandchildren, Evan

I

L. DAVID BIBER, 63, of
Birmingham, died July 3, 2009.
He was a lifelong resident of the
Detroit area and had many friends
here. He was a graduate of Albion
College, with a degree in commu-
nication and theater and he later
earned a master's degree in speech
pathology and audiology. For the
past 20 years, he was a Cadillac
salesman in Rochester.
Mr. Biber is survived by his
beloved wife, Cathleen Michelson
Biber; loving daughter and son-
in-law, Rachel and Barry Welser;
cherished brother and sister-in-
law, Daniel and Irene Biber of
Huntington Woods; loving sister
and brother-in-law, Susan and Jack
Bindes of Bloomfield Hills; grand-
child, Caleb Welser; nieces and
nephews, Molly (Michael) Herzoff,
Jennifer (Michael) Fishman, Rebecca
and Gabriel Biber; great-nephews,
Brett Werner, Dean, Devon and Drew
Herzoff; great-niece, Dylan Fishman;
friends at the Birmingham-
Bloomfield Chai Center congrega-
tion.
He was the devoted son of the late
Max and the late Pearl Biber.

DR. JOSEPH S. GANTZ, 79, of
Farmington Hills, died July 5, 2009.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Margaret Gantz; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Steve and Lisa Gantz of
Orchard Lake; brother and sister-
in-law, Sheldon and Joanne Gantz
of Newtown Square, Pa.; sister and
brother-in-law, Rita and Dr. Stanley
Levy; grandchildren, Alexa, Connor
and Garrett; many loving nieces,
nephews, other family members and
friends.
Interment at the Beth El Memorial
Park in Livonia. Contributions
may be made to Seasons Hospice
or to a charity of one's choice.

HAROLD
GOLDMAN, 79, of
West Bloomfield,
died July 2, 2009.
He was a funeral
director at the Ira
Kaufman Chapel
from 1967 to his
Goldman
retirement in 1992.
Prior to working at the Kaufman
Chapel, he was a sporting goods
manager at GEM Stores.
Mr. Goldman was a proud vet-
eran who served in the United
States Marine Corps. He was also
a member of the Eddie Jacobson
Brotherhood of B'nai B'rith and was
a docent at the Holocaust Memorial
Center in Farmington Hills.
He was known for his quick wit
and humor that brought many a
light hearted moment to his fam-
ily and friends. A big man with soft
hands, Mr. Goldman made dollhouse
furniture, miniature violins and
musical instruments and miniature
soldiers from various wars. The
detailing on his miniature pieces
made each piece unique and memo-
rable.
Mr. Goldman is survived by his
wife, Marlene Goldman; son and
daughter-in-law, Ross and Karen
Goldman of South Dakota; daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Elise "Lee" and
James Hunrath of Port Hope, Mich.;
sister, Betty Rotklein of Dallas;
grandchildren, James and Theresa
Hunrath III, Jason and Jessica
