be and Janet Berman of Farmington
Hills are pleased to announce the
engagement of their daughter
Shirlee to Russell Lord, son of Karen Cove
and Patrick Lord of Neenah, Wis.
The couple reside and work in Chicago.
Shirlee, a University of Michigan alumna,
is an Internet product manager with
HomeFinder.com . Russell, a graduate of
the University of Wisconsin in Madison,
is employed as an art director for Outside
Magazine.
An August wedding is planned in Chicago.

oily Light and Dr. Alan
Betensley were married
at the Townsend Hotel in
Birmingham by Rabbi Daniel Syme of
Temple Beth El in Bloomfield Township.
The bride is the daughter of Amy and
Sol Harold Light of West Bloomfield; and
the groom is the son of Sarah and Rael
Betensley of Highland Park, Ill.
Molly graduated with honors from
the University of Michigan and Syracuse
University's Newhouse Graduate School in
New York. She is the Detroit Tigers director
of broadcasting.
Alan graduated cum laude from Duke University in Durham, N.C., and the
University of Illinois College of Medicine. He is a pulmonary and critical care
senior staff physician at Detroit-based Henry Ford Hospital and a member of
the Henry Ford Hospital Transplant Institute.
The maid of honor was Carol Parsigian and the bridesmaids were Holly
Bailey, Stephanie Light, Dr. Genevieve Alumit and Jennifer Graham.
The best man was Dr. Joey Garcia; and the groomsmen were Dr. Sarver
Morcos, Dr. Mark Emerick, Dr. Chait Lingam and Dr. Robert Light.
The couple will honeymoon in Tokyo and Maui after the baseball season.
