ZOA Israel Stipends
The Zionist Organization of America-
Michigan Region has awarded
scholarships to students who will be
studying in Israel during the 2009-
2010 school year.
The Israel Scholarships have been
made possible by generous donations
to our ZOA Scholarship Endowment
Fund helping students attend Zionist
school programs in Israel. The endow-
ment supports students who express
the Zionist ideal and dedication to
Jewish values and identity. This schol-
arship is intended to help young adults
reach their educational goals.
The 2009 scholarship committee
included Toby Schlussel, chair, and
members Rabbi Milton Arm, Dr. Leora
Bar-Levav and Dr. Barbara Goodman.
The 2009 scholarship recipients
are Miriam Barth, Orly Benaderet,
Ruth Berkman, Rachel Brown, Leah
Cohen, Raizel Eisenberger, Yocheved
Garfinkel, Rebecca Grossman, Ben
Jirik, Ari Kurzmann, Chaya Polter and
Jamie Rabotnick.
