Hen and Edward Betel of West
Bloomfield are delighted to
announce the engagement of their
daughter Jessica Beth to Adam Barner, son
of Susan Toal and Russ Toal of Atlanta, Ga.
Jessica received her bachelor of
architecture from the University of
Michigan and will complete her master's
of architecture at Georgia Institute of
Technology in Atlanta next spring.
Adam graduated from Syracuse
University in New York with a bachelor
of architecture. The couple met at the
architectural firm Cooper Carry in Atlanta,
where Adam is employed.
Jessica and Adam will be married at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in August.

Crawford-Pawlak

M

ichael Crawford, son of Jeff and
Libby Crawford of Novi and
Maureen Pawlak, daughter of
Patti and Ron Pawlak, were married recently
at the Walnut Creek Country Club in South
Lyon. Michael is also the grandson of Isabel
Vander and the late Seymour Vander.
Michael was a 2002 graduate of Novi High
School and a 2006 graduate of the University
of Michigan. He received his master's degree
from Michigan State University in 2009.
Maureen was a 2004 Novi High School
graduate and a 2009 graduate of Michigan
State University.
They spent their honeymoon enjoying the sights in Paris, France. They now
reside in Lawrence, Kan.
Maureen is pursuing a teaching career and Michael is working on his Ph.D. in
educational psychology and research at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
