The local business community also lent a hand as more than 50 mer- chants donated door prizes. Sponsors of the fundraiser were Joe Boyi and Linda Yono, owners of Tru Bliss Salon. All of the pro- ceeds from the afternoon went to the team "Spindle's Crew," an American Cancer Society Relay for Life team. Kari DeCarlo, community represen- tative for the American Cancer Society and Caryn Jaeger of Farmington Hills spoke about the ACS' third Cancer Prevention Study, created to help determine lifestyle, environmental and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer.
