AARON K_AIZINIAN, 85. former
Detroiter of Sun Lakes, Ariz., died May
31, 2009.
He was a 50-year past master (1966)
of Mosaic Lodge =530, F. & A.M. in
Detroit and a proud member of the
Shriners. He was a member of Temple
Beth Sholom of the East Valley and
the Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation in
Arizona.
Mr. Katzman is survived by his wife
of 61 years, Shirlee Katzman; sons,
Ian (Beki) Katzman of Mesa, Ariz.;
Michael (Shoshanna) Katzman of
Little Silver, N.J.; Lawrence Katzman
of Santa Monica, Calif.; sister, Bernice
(Donald) Tollefson of Encino, Calif.;
grandchildren, Hilary, Noah, Jared,
Lexi and Paul; many nieces, nephews
and friends.
Graveside services were held.

PHYLLIS FREEMAN POUSHTER.
84, died June 4, 2009.
She was born in December 1924 in
Syracuse, N.Y., where she resided until
2005. She graduated from Syracuse
University with a BFA in medical
illustration and had won various pres-
tigious prizes for her art work. She was
a member of Temple Adath Yeshurtm,
Crouse Irving Memorial and Upstate
Medical Center Au_Inliaries.
She was a loving wife, mother and
grandmother, who enjoyed gardening,
flower arranging and golf. She traveled
all over the world with her husband
and family.
Mrs. Poushter is survived by her
loving husband of 63 years, Dr.
David L. Poushter; three daughters
and their spouses, Linda and Larry
Lublin of Bloomfield Hills, Susan and
David Rothenberg, Karen and Tom
Kinneman; grandchildren, Stacy and
Jon Brand, Jeremy and Julie Lublin,
John Rothenberg, Michael Rothenberg,
Gregory Kinneman, Kevin Kinneman;
great-grandchildren, Phoebe Brand,
Nathan and Eli Lublin.
Services and interment were in
Syracuse. Arrangements by Sisskind

JESSE A. RICE, 98, of Farmington
Hills. died June 1, 2009.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Florence Rice; sons and daughters-in-
law. Donald and Phyllis Rice of Palm

Renee Citron of Italy; grandchildren,

Huntington Woods, died June 3, 2009.
She was a long-
time member of
Brandeis Women's
Committee and was
a key force in the
annual Brandeis
Book Sale. She was
also the former
Schwartz
head of Federation's
Women's Division.
Mrs. Schwartz
is survived by her husband, Charles
