Raising Awareness
Manny first became involved in the battle
against prostate cancer in response to his
brother Irving's illness. Manny joined the
Karmanos speakers bureau in 1998 and
has staffed numerous health fairs to raise
awareness about prostate cancer.
"Mi.,- brother was diagnosed with
prostate cancer in spite of being tested
annually," Manny said. "He died five years
later. So, I began being tested twice annu-
ally. That decision saved my life
