RUNNING
More than $106,000 has been
raised for the Muscular Dystrophy
Association by the Farmington
Hills Police Department, and
officers hope to up that amount
Saturday, June 6, with their
20th Annual Run/Walk along
the Orchard Ridge Campus of
Oakland Community College.
The event, which starts at S a.m.,
includes a 10K race, a non-com-
petitive 5K run and a 1-mile fun
run for kids. The $20 entry fee,
with youngsters invited for free. For

Outdoor concert enthusiasts this
year will find a new setting for
Birmingham's weekly In the Park
Summer Concerts. While Shain
Park undergoes some construction,
the events will be at Booth Park, on
the west side of N. Old Woodward
at Harmon. The Klezmaniacs and
Candy Band will get the music
started 7 p.m. Wednesday, June
17, with rousing Yiddish folk
melodies and rocking kids tunes.
The Wednesday evening summer
concerts will be canceled during
