B'nai Moshe Siddur
Congregation B'nai Moshe in West
Bloomfield has its very own Siddur
Tefillah L'Moshe, Shabbat prayer
book. The special Shabbat siddur was
created by Rabbi Elliot Pachter and
Cantor Earl Berris along with a com-
mittee of members of Congregation
B'nai Moshe with illustrations by
Lynne Avadenka and edited and
published by Dr. Joe Lewis of Singlish
Publication Company.
Siddur Tefillah L'Moshe ("Words
of Moses Prayer Book") contains
Hebrew, English and transliterations
making religious worship accessible
for anyone — those well schooled in
Jewish liturgy as well as those who
don't read even a word of Hebrew.
Prayers are arranged in the order of
the B'nai Moshe Shabbat service.
To celebrate this labor of love
of the book and to thank donors,
Congregation B'nai Moshe will
host a celebration Shabbat on June
5-6. There will be a congregational
Shabbat dinner on Friday, June 5,
Shabbat evening service at 6 p.m.,
dinner at 7 p.m. with guest speaker
Dr. Joe Lewis. On Saturday, June 6,
there will be a Shabbat service cel-
ebrating the new prayer book.
