Kol Ami Affirmands
Temple Kol Ami in West Bloomfield
will host an Erev Shavuot service
on Thursday, May 28, at 7:30 p.m.
During this service, the affirmation
class of 5769 will stand before the
Torah and be confirmed in their
Jewish faith.

Beth Ahm: Shavuot
Congregation Beth Ahm in West
Bloomfield will offer a multi-genera-
tional celebration of Shavuot start-
ing on Thursday night, May 28; all
are invited.
A highlight of the festivities will
be Beth Ahm's annual D'var Torah
Extravaganza on Friday evening,
May 29, featuring divrei Torah (brief
words of Torah) presented by chil-
dren of the congregation.
Friday night's event will begin
with a Shabbat-Shavuot dinner
(dairy menu featuring pizza, salad,
egg salad, tuna salad, and ice cream
bar) at 5:30 p.m. Reservations are
a must. The cost is S10 per person
or S36 per household, whichever
is less. Grandparents, friends and
other guests are also invited. To
