HARRIETTE LEE SLABECK, 83, of
Northfield, Ill., died May 15, 2009. She
was an office manager for Counseling
Associates in Southfield.
Mrs. Slabeck is survived by her
daughter, Debbie Baker of Illinois;
grandchildren, Paul Bernard Emerich,
Alexander Bernard Baker and Molly
Slabeck Baker.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Bernard Slabeck; the loving mother of
the late Barbara Slabeck.
Interment at Adat Shalom

ANNETTE SPOON 85, of Bloomfield
Hills, died May 11, 2009.
She is survived by her daughter

Schwartz of Bloomfield Hills; son and

Spoon of Las Vegas; grandchildren,
Karen (Tony) Levin, Gary (Lizzy)
Fields, Michelle (Randy) Blau, Kristin
and Kelly Spoon; great-grandchildren,
Bradley, Jodi, Avery, Blair, Jackson and
Grant.
Mrs. Spoon was the beloved wife of
the late Julius "Cookie" Spoon; sister of
the late Michael Maskaron and the late
Harold Maskaron.
Interment at the Adat Shalom
Memorial Park in Livonia.

STANLEY
WARREN, 86, of
Southfield, died May
10, 2009.
He was an opti-
cian and, prior to
retirement at age 70,
he was the owner of
Warren
Warren Optical in
Harvard Row, which
then relocated to
Orchard Mall. He was also a member
of Perfection Mosaic Lodge.
Mr. Warren is survived by his wife
of 62 years, Virginia Warren; daughters
and sons-in-law, Linda and Jeffrey
Serman of Franklin, Patty and Dan
Passman of Farmington Hills; son
and daughter-in-law, George and Avis
Warren of West Bloomfield; grandchil-
dren, Joanna and Jonathan Dwoskin,
Jamie and Joe Garavaglia, Jonathan

MARTA WEISS, 84, of West
Bloomfield, died May 16, 2009.
She is survived by her daughter,

of Israel; grandchildren, Nicole and

Channie and Tzvi Lundner, Shimmy
Weiss, Dina and Yehudah Schneck,

the late Abraham Weiss.

LEONARD "LENNY" MARK
YOUNG, 71, of Phoenix, Ariz., died
May 12, 2009.
He lived in Detroit until 1961. He
founded a scrap metal firm in Phoenix
after moving there in 1961. He was an
avid sportsman and sponsored base-
ball and bowling teams in Michigan
and Arizona.
Mr. Young leaves his loving wife,
Joan; dear children, Scott (Christie) and
Lisa; grandchildren, Haley, Hannah,
Jenna and Justin of Las Vegas, Nev.;
two dear brothers who live in this area,
Sid (Rosalie) and Dr. Larry (Carol);
nieces and nephews, Michelle Sider,
Julie Young, Brandon and Jordan Young,
Jamie Polk, Michael and Robert Young.
Services were held in Phoenix.
