Cindy Yellen and the
late Jeffrey Yellen,
will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitz-
vah on Friday, May
8, at Temple Israel
Yellen
in West Bloomfield.
She is the sister of
Steven, Erika and Daniel. Sharing in
the simchah will be her proud grand-
mother Lenore Yellen. She is also the
grandchild of the late Seymour Yellen,
the late Marianne Pierce and the late
John Pierce.
Lauren is a student at O.E. Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
Her most meaningful mitzvah project
was raising funds for her disabled
friend to get a canine assistant.

andra and Edgar West of Southfield
recently celebrated their 50th wed-
ding anniversary with dinner at
the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in Detroit,
where they were married Feb. 28, 1959. They
were joined by their sons, Dr. Brandon and
Dr. Evan West as well as other family and
friends. Sandra celebrated her 75th birthday
on March 23 and a larger party for both
celebrations is planned in Toronto, Canada,
this July with relatives and friends from
California, Chicago, Detroit and Toronto.
