Young professionals active with the Michigan Opera Theatre Volunteer
Association want to offset recent funding cuts and have a good time in the
bargain. They will do that with BravoBravo!, an annual fundraiser planned
for 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 5, at the Detroit Opera House, 1526 Broadway. The
theater takes on a new aura for the event with segmented areas leading to an
outdoor tent and offering local music acts, lounging and noshing on food from
Detroit's top restaurants and bars. The theater's main floor will be covered with
a platform joined to the stage to create a large area for mingling and dancing.
$85 in advance. (313) 237-SING. MichiganOpera.org.
