She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Mills and the late Julius Droz; the loving sister of the late Faye Rodner, the late Belle Levine, the late Beatrice Banks Belfer and the late Herman Cohen. She was born in April 9, 1920, to Giselle and Jacob Newman in Detroit and was a longtime resident of Waterford. Lover, wife, mother, friend, reader and teacher, she was known for her laughter and good nature. Born in the worst of times, she lived through the best of times. She always hoped for the best. She taught her children to believe in themselves. She cherished and was cher- ished by her husband, Jerry, for 64 years. She was loved by her chil- dren, Michael and Sydney Peters of San Francisco, Calif., Deborah and John Zemke of Columbia; granddaughters, Rachel Zemke and Emma Peters. She will be missed by family, Razel and Matt Garfinkel, Ruben Wartel, David and Doris Wartel, and Dan and Karyn Wartel. Graveside services were held at Columbia Cemetery.
