DR. STEVEN PARKER, 62, of Boston,
died April 13, 2009.
He was a renowned developmental
pediatrician who authored the last
book of Dr. Spock.
He was the chief pediatrician on
WebMD. He touched the lives of all
who knew him.
Dr. Parker is survived by his beloved
wife, Karen of Boston. He was the
adored brother of Philip (Fran) of
West Bloomfield, Rebekah and Daniel
Parker. Also survived by aunts, cous-
ins, friends, colleagues and patients.
He was the cherished son of the late
Hyman and the late Ann Parker.
A memorial service will be held at
the home of Phil Parker at 1 p.m. on
Sunday, May 10. Contributions may

PAUL RINGLER, 94, of Southfield,
died April 16, 2009.
An Army veteran of World War II, he
served as a captain of a troop carrier
and received many honors including
the Silver Battle Star. He retired as a lt.
colonel. After the war, he became an
attorney and also a builder; he owned
Alvin Building Company in Detroit.
Mn. Ringler is survived by sons
and daughters-in-law, Dr. Steven and
Andrea Ringler of Grand Rapids,
Jerome and Bonnie Ringler of Malibu,
Claif.; grandchildren, Brandon,
Gergory and Lauren Ringler.
He was the beloved husband of the
late Mildred Ringler; the cherished
brother and brother-in-law of the late
Bernie and the late Jean Ringler.
