STANLEY BERTRAM FRIEDMAN, 100, of Southfield, died April 15, 2009. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, July 23, 1908. Mr. Friedman Friedman was a vet- eran of World War II, during which he monitored the financial activity of the Axis powers in North Africa and inves- tigated the workings of I.G. Farben for the Treasury Department. He then served as corporate secre- tary of Borman Foods (Farmer Jack) until his retirement in 1973, when he became involved in real estate and in SCORE. He was remarkably active throughout his later years and was a devoted grandfather, father and hus- band. Mr. Friedman celebrated his 100th birthday last July at a large family gathering in St. Petersburg, Fla.
