Lublin 50th

hyllis and Sheldon Lublin
were married 50 years ago on
March 29, 1959. This March,
they enjoyed a monthlong celebration
of dinner invitations with friends and
family to celebrate. Their children, Beth
and Jeff Ribera, Kevin and Tina Lublin,
Marcie and her fiance Carl Howard, sur-
prised them with a small family gather-
ing and treated them to a weekend at
Wickwood Inn in Saugatuck, to be taken
in July. The celebration will culminate
with the marriage of Marcie and Carl on
Oct. 17, 2009, at Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield.

4udy and Harvey Blavin of Bloomfield
Hills are delighted to announce the
I engagement of their son Fredric Evan
'ff) Susan Catherine Mitchell, daughter of
Janice Routon of Paris, Tenn., and Eason and
Nancy Mitchell of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Fred attended the London School
of Economics and graduated from the
University of Michigan. He holds a master's
degree in healthcare economics from the
University of Pennsylvania Wharton School
of Business in Philadelphia.
Susan holds a bachelor's degree in jour-
nalism from Auburn University in Alabama
and graduated from American University's School of Law in Washington, D.C.
The couple reside in Washington, D.C., where Fred is a consultant at SRA
International and Susan is employed by the James and Hoffman Law Firm.
A May wedding is planned in Philadelphia.

tephanie and Wayne Yashinsky
of Bloomfield Hills are excited to
announce the engagement of their
daughter Ashley Gaum to Jacob Cohen, son
of Carolyn and Scot Cohen of Merion, Pa.,
and Rosalyn and Bart Cohodas of Plantation,
Fla. Ashley is also the daughter of the late
Ian Gaum.
Ashley graduated from Specs Howard
School of Broadcasting in Southfield. She
works in marketing at Reynolds Corners
Dental in Toledo, Ohio, and teaches Sunday
School at B'nai Israel in Toledo.
Jacob earned his B.A. from George
Washington University in Washington, D.C., and will receive a JD/MBA from the
University of Toledo this May.
A May wedding is planned, after which Ashley and Jacob are moving to
Manhattan, where Jacob will be an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell.
