She had her doctorate in special edu- cation from Wayne State University and was the principal of Helen Field Learning Center in Detroit. She was an accom- plished singer and pianist and began her professional career singing in Washington, D.C., and Detroit. She was a former mem- ber of Temple Beth El. Dr. Gordon is survived by her two daughters, Toba Blum-Shiefman of Tucson Samara Wilder of Sedona, Ariz.; grand- daughter, Briana Neeley; great-grand- daughter, Brodie; brother and sister-in- law, Jack "Sonny" Leve of Oak Park.
