Ittai Svidler was
called to the Torah
as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, March 28,
at Congregation
Beth Shalom in
Oak Park. He is the
son of Lisa Svidler
Svidler
of Farmington Hills
and the brother of
Miriam. His proud grandparents

are Larisa Tylevich and Boris
Smorgonskiy of Southfield. Ittai is also
the great-grandson of Etel Kucherova-
Byalik and the grandson of the late
Alexander Tylevich.
Ittai is a seventh-grade student at
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills. He has
participated in many mitzvah projects
through school, including volunteering
for Farmington Hills-based JARC.

Schultz-Gayer

helly and Lowell Schultz of West
Bloomfield and Florida proudly
announce the engagement of their
son Justin Matthew to Megan Elizabeth
Gayer, daughter of Mary and Ronald Gayer
of Portland, Ore.
Justin graduated from Indiana
University's Kelley School of Business and
earned a bachelor of science in finance. He
is the vice president of leasing and business
development for Cargo Ventures, an indus-
trial real estate development and manage-
ment firm in New York City.
Megan earned a bachelor of science
in mechanical engineering from Lehigh
University in Bethlehem, Pa. She is working at the Gap Inc. Product to Market
headquarters in New York City as a lead business consultant.
A July wedding is planned in Portland.

Charnas-Kresch

odi Rebecca Charnas and
an Adam Michael
Kresch were recently married at Temple
Beth El in Bloomfield Township. Rabbi
Daniel Syme and Cantor Rachel Kalmowitz
officiated.
Jodi is the daughter of Bobbi and Dale
Charnas of Farmington Hills. Adam is the son
of Sharon and Alan Kaplan of West Bloomfield
and Philip Kresch of Farmington Hills.
Erica, sister of the bride, was matron of
honor. Bridesmaids included Amy Bazelon;
Laura Charnas, sister-in-law of the bride;
Emily Friedman Karen Lockman and Amy
Schwartz.
Jeffrey and Kevin Kresch, brothers of the groom, were best men. Groomsman
included Craig and Jason Charnas, brothers of the bride; Bryce Facktor, brother-in-
law of the bride; Daniel Katz, Brian Lubetsky, Zachary Mall and Matthew Usher.
Jodi and Adam were honored to have their grandparents Lottie and Aaron
Gellerman, Bernice and Ted Miller, Helen and Joe Kresch, and Seymour Stone par-
ticipate in the ceremony.
Jodi and Adam honeymooned in Jamaica and reside in Farmington Hills.
