An Evening With Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin opens 8 p.m. Tuesday,

April 14, at Detroit's Fisher Theatre. On Wednesday, April 15, Lupone and
Patinkin, recipients of the 2009 Sarah Applebaum Nederlander Award
for Excellence in Theatre, will give two master classes at Wayne State
University. A 6 p.m. Thursday, April 16, gala at the Fisher will honor
the award recipients, followed by a 7:30 p.m. performance of the show
benefiting Wayne State University Theatre and followed by an afterglow
