son Garrett to Michelle, daughter of Menon
and Shirley Thomas of West Hartford, Conn.
Garrett earned his bachelor's degree at the
University of Michigan's School of Music,
his master's in ethnomusicology at Wesleyan
University in Connecticut and is work-
ing toward a Ph.D. in ethnomusicology at
Wesleyan.
Michelle earned her medical assistant
degree at Fox Institute of Business in
Connecticut, works as a medical assistant at
a neurosurgery clinic and is working on her bachelor's degree in biochemistry at
Central Connecticut State University.
A September wedding is planned in Connecticut.

West Bloomfield are delighted
to announce the engagement of
their daughter Lindsay Erin Foster to Ryan
Gregory Hubert, son of Paulette and Robert
Hubert of Highland Park, Ill.
Lindsay received her bachelor of science
from Indiana University in Bloomington,
where she majored in hospitality manage-
ment. She is employed by Aramark as the
director of conference services for Deloitte
in Chicago.
Ryan received his bachelor of arts and
science from DePaul University in Chicago,
where he double majored in communications and psychology. He is employed by
Sherman Weiner Inc., a family owned lighting distribution agency.
An August wedding is planned at Temple Israel, West Bloomfield.

Waldman of Beachwood, Ohio, and Bruce
and Elisabeth Waldman of New Castle, Pa.
Ms. Jacobs, granddaughter of Gilberta
Jacobs, earned her bachelor's from
Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pa., and
her MBA from Columbia University in New
York. She is a director of strategy and plan-
ning at the McGraw-Hill Companies in New
York.
Mr. Waldman, grandson of Esther
Shwartz and Edith Waldman, graduated from Brown University in Providence,
R.I., and earned his master's in international relations and in public health from
Columbia University. He is a consultant with Easton Associates in New York.
A late summer 2009 wedding in Cleveland is planned.
