I'd like to share the documentary film
Flow: For the Love of Water. This is an
extraordinary film about the privatiza-
tion of water and includes how this issue
has affected Michigan. My friend who
produced the film has been invited by the
U.S. State Department to show it all over
the world so I hope everyone has the
chance to see it and become vitally aware.

Her newest work is her third comedy

novel, The Funeral Planner Goes to the

White House, which debuted in February.

"It's about an ethically minded [Jewish]

engaged to Elna Leonardo. A December 2010 wedding is planned

in the Philippines with a celebration party back in Michigan in

August 2011. Here, we ask Lynn Isenberg our version of the Four

Questions.

IF YOU COULD HAVE BRUNCH WITH
ONE BIBLICAL OR HISTORICAL JEWISH
FIGURE, WHO WOULD IT BE?
Since they're inextricably intertwined, I'll go for
Abraham's wife, Sarah, and her Egyptian servant,
Hagar (although Hagar was not Jewish). I'd love to

sit down in a trio with both of them and discover
what really happened between them with respect
to Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael. ... I wonder if we
could dig deeper to explore their conscious and
unconscious feelings and begin a healing conversa-
tion to lay the groundwork for emotional releases
and -forgiveness. And then, I wonder if healing the
past would dissolve abandonment issues and genera-
tional struggle addictions to perhaps bear witness to
a present of peace.

WHAT WOULD PEOPLE BE SURPRISED TO
KNOW ABOUT YOU?
People might be surprised to know that I'm currently
in a master's program in spiritual psychology at the
University of Santa Monica (although my previous
answer might have given that away). Not that I'm
not spiritually minded, but it's a complete departure
from my workaholic nature and requires the use of
different parts of the brain and heart as well as the
non-existence of any natural-born tendencies toward
marketing and promotion. It's actually a pleasure to
leave all that at the door and learn a new technology
for healing ourselves and our communities.
