— Moshe Feiglin
gious candidates are emerging with
the same goals, but through differ-
ent political strategies. Nonetheless,
Feiglin has shown signs that he
could possibly bond Israelis togeth-
er under an umbrella of faith-based
leadership.
"He's obviously making connec-
tions with Israelis beyond people
aligned with traditional religious
Zionism, and I think the right
inspirational leader could do it,"
Nadel said.
Feiglin said what separates him
from other candidates of religious
parties is having a single focus on
leading the entire nation, not just a
particular sector or narrow agenda.
And he makes no apologies for
his faith or appeal to the common
Israeli.
"The only thing I fear is God and
maybe a little bit my wife" he said
of Tzippy, with whom he enjoys five
children.
But even those who agree philo-
sophically aren't yet sold on his
experience or political tempera-
ment.
"What I need to know is that
if he wins an election, what will
he do the next day to keep the
country going?" said Jack Zwick of
Southfield.
"There's an economy to run, seri-
ous foreign policy issues to tackle,
and I'm concerned that without
those details it could scare voters
away."
Feiglin said he gave merely an
introduction to the movement and
that detailed plans on education,
security, and the peace process are
expressed at www.jewishisrael.org .
"I'm very, very happy, inspired
and ready to go ahead because I
feel very strongly that the average
Israeli is ready for that revolution,"
he said. ``Without Jewish Zionism,
Israel will simply crumble and it's
all our responsibility not to let that
happen." 7_1
