honor community leaders Allen and
Lita Zemmol
of Beverly Hills
and Marilyn
Wolfe of West
Bloomfield
at its Ameinu
Tribute
Luncheon 12:30
p.m. Sunday,
April 19, at
Adat Shalom
Allen and Lita
Synagogue in
Zemmol
Farmington
Hills. Keynoter will be Brenda
Rosenberg, an interfaith peace activ-
ist from Bloomfield
Hills.
Marilyn Wolfe will
receive Ameinu Detroit's
Tzedek (Righteous)
Award. She is a longtime
leader with the Jewish
Community Center of
Marilyn Wolfe Metropolitan Detroit,
where she is director of
the Center Travel Department and
Jewish Parents Institute (JPI). Wolfe
and husband, Sam, have the Hemshech
(Forward) Award for their longtime
involvement with the Labor Zionist
movement. They have three children
and 11 grandchildren.
Allen Zemmol was longtime senior
trust counsel at Comerica Bank. He's
now of counsel to the Kemp Klein
Law Firm in Troy. Active in politics,
he made a run for Congress in 1968.
He is a former president of the
Jewish Community Relations Council
of Metropolitan Detroit.
Lita Zemmol has been in private
practice as a marriage and family
counselor. She is currently a vice
president of Kadima, the Jewish
mental health agency.
Ameinu, "Our People" in Hebrew,
is the leading grassroots progressive
Zionist organization in the United
States and the U.S. affiliate of the
World Labor Zionist Movement.
