The owner of the Detroit Pistons and his wife Karen donated S75 million on behalf of Guardian Industries toward building an inpatient tower at the Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Kerem, Jerusalem. The tower will be named for his late mother Sarah Wetsman Davidson, also of blessed memory. Mr. Davidson was proud to be the third generation in his family to support Hadassah's goals and achievements, and we, too, are proud to be forever linked to his life and memory. His committment to Jerusalem, his family, his work and to his philanthropy was inspiring, and he will be truly missed by Detroit and the Jewish community as a whole. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Davidson's family, the entire Detroit community, and all others who were lucky enough to be affected by his loyalty, generosity, and tenacity. May they be comforted among the mourners of Zion. 1493660 March 19 g 2009 A35
