GILBERT "GIBBY" SCHWARTZ, 81, of Delray Beach, Fla., formerly of Michigan, died March 9, 2009. He was a founder of Midland Auto Parts in Detroit. Mr. Schwartz is survived by his wife, Phyllis Schwartz of Florida; children, Beth and Howard Zoller of Huntington Woods, Robert Schwartz of Redford, Dina and Jeffrey Shiffinan of Farmington Hills; grandchildren, Eli, Sasha and Lily Zoller, Marlee and Henry Shifrnan, Corey Schwartz; great-grandchildren, Patrick and Zoey; nieces, nephews, friends. He was the devoted son of the late Louis and the late Marie Schwartz; cherished son-in-law of the late William and the late Kay Katz; dear brother-in-law of the late Lt. Colonel Norman Schwartz. Her work was shown Taubman and sold in various galleries in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Ariz., where she lived for 28 years before return- ing to Michigan in 2004. While living in Arizona, she was named Arizona Designer of the Year and was an active part of the artist community in the Scottsdale-Phoenix area. Mrs. Taubman is survived by her daugh- ters and sons-in-law, Suzan Perlstein and Dr. Edwin Gorsuch of Atlanta, Ga., Sharon and Robert Feldman of Waterford; son, Andrew Taubman of Chevy Chase, Md.; grandchildren, Kenny (Kelly) Perlstein, Michael (Julie) Perlstein, Brian (Karen) Feldman, Lisa (Nick) Braude and Alexandra Taubman; great-grandchildren, Dylan Perlstein, Kasey Feldman, Allyson and Madelyn Braude; other family mem- bers, Sandra Jensen Taubman, Elizabeth Kruss, Lola Taubman, A. WOLFE, 94, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Detroit, died Feb. 7, 2009. She was a charter member of Temple Israel and a past president of its sisterhood. Mrs. Wolfe is survived by two sons, John H. (Shari) of Highland Park, Ill., and Theodore J. (Mary) of St. Petersburg, Fla. She was the wife of the late Irving S. Wolfe. Services were private.
